Premier Inn is the clearest "no code needed" brand in UK travel. Its discounts are rate options you select during booking — MoneySavingExpert's current listing is literally "select the 20% off summer getaways – Standard option, no code needed" — plus a Blue Light Card route and business-account rates. Cashback is up to 3% via TopCashback, and because Premier Inn's discounts aren't voucher codes, the two usually stack. Here's how to book it properly.

Disclosure: cashback links here are my referral links — free for you (you get a £10 bonus). I haven't booked Premier Inn through cashback; my hotel rows are Expedia (11%) and a Radisson bounty. Rates are as listed on the day.

How Premier Inn discounts actually work

Route Saving How
Promotional rate options e.g. 20% off selected dates ("summer getaways" this season) Choose the discounted rate at booking — no code
Blue Light Card Member access to Premier Inn discounts Via the BLC route
Business Account Business rates and invoicing Registered businesses
Book early / Saver vs Flex Cheaper non-refundable rates Standard pricing lever
"15% off" / "60% off" codes Coupon-site headlines Premier Inn doesn't run public voucher codes

Pays After your stay

A two-night £180 stay earns about £4.50; pick the 20% rate option too and you've saved £36 + £4.50. It's not Expedia's 11%, but Premier Inn's direct prices are rarely beaten by OTAs, so this is the honest way to get something back.

The stack

  1. Search your dates on premierinn.com and look for a promotional rate option (currently "20% off summer getaways – Standard" on eligible dates).
  2. Click through TopCashback to Premier Inn and redo the search in that session.
  3. Select the discounted rate — no code box needed.
  4. Blue Light holders: compare the BLC rate with the public promo rate; use the bigger. BLC access may not combine with cashback — check.
  5. Pay by card; cashback confirms after checkout from the hotel.

Comparing budget chains: Travelodge pays 2% on TopCashback and runs its own sale windows; for city breaks abroad, my Hotels.com and Expedia rows at 8–12% show why OTAs win overseas.

FAQ — real questions people ask Google

How to get cheaper rates at Premier Inn? Book early on Saver (non-flexible) rates, pick promotional rate options like the 20%-off dates during booking, use Blue Light Card if eligible, and click through TopCashback for up to 3% back.

Is there a Premier Inn discount code for 15% off? No — Premier Inn doesn't issue public voucher codes. Its promotions are rate options selected at booking (20% off selected dates at the moment), so ignore coupon-site "15% off" codes.

What is the GIMME10 promo code? A generic 10% code that circulates for many retailers. Premier Inn has no voucher-code box for it to work in.

Is there a Premier Inn discount code available in the UK? Not a code — a promotional rate. Select it during booking, add Blue Light Card access if eligible, and stack 3% cashback via TopCashback.
