About the Chap

I'm a UK-based software engineer who fell down the cashback rabbit hole in November 2023 and kept receipts on the way down. Since then one TopCashback account has paid me £1,636.17 across 123 tracked purchases — free VPN years, SIMs that paid me to use them, a £120 bounty for switching mobile network, and £835 from showing friends how to do the same.

This site exists because most cashback advice is written by people who have never withdrawn a payout. Every guide here follows one rule: if I haven't done it, the page says so. Wins are screenshotted; so are the declines (£98 of them, documented in full).

How this site makes money

Some links are affiliate links — if you join a cashback site through them, I may earn a commission at no cost to you. That income funds the test purchases these guides are built on. Affiliate deals never change a verdict: the same pages that recommend TopCashback also document the £98 it never paid me, and when a rival pays more on a given deal, the guide says so.
