Ocado's discount story is short and honest: new customers get 25% off their first shop (spend £60+) plus three months of free Smart Pass, using the code Ocado shows in its own banner at checkout. Existing customers get targeted emails, not public codes. And on the cashback side — the part I usually lead with — TopCashback's Ocado listing currently shows no cashback at all. I'd rather tell you that than pad the page. Here's what's real, and where grocery cashback does exist.
Disclosure: cashback links here are my referral links — free for you (you get a £10 bonus). I haven't shopped Ocado through cashback; my grocery receipts are Asda. Offers are as listed on the day.
Ocado offers that genuinely exist
| Offer | Detail | Who |
|---|---|---|
| 25% off your first shop | Minimum spend £60; use the code shown in Ocado's banner at checkout | New customers |
| 3 months free Smart Pass | Bundled with the first-shop offer; Smart Pass holders get at least 10% off 500+ items | New customers |
| Blue Light Card | Ocado offer via BLC | NHS, emergency services, key workers |
| Existing-customer codes | Targeted "come back" / spend-threshold emails (e.g. 20% off £80-type offers) | By invitation only |
| "30–40% off" headlines | Coupon-site claims | Not an Ocado offer |
Cashback at Ocado — currently none
| Detail | TopCashback (8 Sep 2026) |
|---|---|
| Rate | No cashback shown on the listing |
| Listing status | Live, but promoting Smart Pass savings rather than a rate |
| What to do | Check the listing before a first shop — grocery rates come and go; a new-customer bonus may return |
Ocado has paid cashback in the past, and merchant listings flip on and off. If you're about to place a first order, it costs nothing to click the listing first — if a rate has returned, you'll want the tracking.
Where grocery cashback does exist
- Asda: my own Asda cashback row tracked — the supermarket cashback hub lists which grocers pay and when.
- M&S food is sold through Ocado; buying M&S products directly from M&S online pays 2% (M&S page) — small, but more than zero.
- Household bulk buys often pay more at general retailers (Argos and Currys for appliances, for example).
How to take the 25% properly
- Build a first basket over £60 (the minimum for the offer).
- Use the code from Ocado's own banner at checkout — not a coupon-site string; the T&Cs tie the offer to the code specified in the banner.
- Accept the free Smart Pass and diarise the end of the three months so you can cancel or keep it deliberately.
- Check TopCashback's Ocado listing on the day; if a rate has returned, click through TopCashback first.
FAQ — real questions people ask Google
What is the Ocado 25 off code? The new-customer code shown in Ocado's checkout banner — 25% off your first shop when you spend £60 or more, with three months' free Smart Pass. The string changes; the banner is the source.
Is there a discount code for Ocado? For new customers, yes (25% first shop). For existing customers, only targeted email codes; Blue Light Card members have a separate Ocado offer.
Is there an Ocado discount code for 20% off £80? Offers of that shape are sent to selected existing or lapsed customers by email; there's no public 20%-off-£80 code.
Is there a 30% off discount at Ocado? No — 25% off a first shop is Ocado's top public offer. Anything higher on coupon sites is a headline, not a working code.
