The lesson: for a big Argos purchase, check the live rate and time it — Black Friday and category boosts turned a 1% retailer into 3–10% for me. For small everyday orders, take whatever it is and move on.

The stack for a big Argos buy

1. Check the live Argos rate on TopCashback and Quidco — pick the higher; see if a boost is running.
