Very's discounts come with a twist worth understanding before you type a code: its headline promotions are often tied to Very's own credit — the current code puts your item on 12 months Buy Now Pay Later and credits a percentage back. That can be fine if you'd pay it off; it's a bad reason to take credit. Beyond that, the genuine savings are first-order offers, Blue Light Card cash back (£5/£10), and cashback of up to 8% for new customers — with a sharp exception: electricals pay 1%, whatever you do.
Disclosure: cashback links here are my referral links — free for you (you get a £10 bonus). I haven't ordered from Very through cashback; rates below are as listed on the day. Not financial advice: Very Pay is a credit product.
Very offers that exist right now
| Offer | Details | Read this first |
|---|---|---|
| First-order discount | Very's first-order page advertises up to 30% off a first order (category-dependent) | New customers |
| BNPL promo (e.g. code WZNPB) | Item goes onto 12-month Buy Now Pay Later; 10–20% credited back | Only sensible if you'll clear it before interest applies — it's credit |
| Blue Light Card | £5 back on new orders £50+; £10 back on new home orders £100+ | BLC members |
| Sale / offers page | Rotating category discounts | Everyone |
| Returns | Free 28-day returns; 4.2 store rating | — |
Cashback at Very — category decides everything
| Category / customer | TopCashback |
|---|---|
| Beauty, new customer | up to 10% |
| Other purchases, new, order £400+ | up to 8% |
| Other purchases, new, £1–£399.99 | 4% |
| Other purchases, existing, £400+ | up to 2% |
| Other purchases, existing, under £400 | 1% |
| Electricals (any customer) | 1% |
So the sweet spot is a new customer buying fashion or home over £400 (8%), or beauty (10%). A new customer buying a £600 TV gets 1% — £6 — the same category-trap I've seen at Currys and Argos. For electricals, check where the rate is best before choosing the retailer.
The stack — and the credit caveat
- Click through TopCashback to Very (web).
- New customer? Use the first-order offer (check the cashback listing tolerates it) and, if buying fashion/home, push the basket over £400 for 8%.
- Blue Light holders: claim the £5/£10 back via the BLC route.
- Skip BNPL-linked codes unless you'd have used Very Pay anyway and will clear the balance in the interest-free window — a 20% credit isn't worth interest at Very's representative APR.
- Pay in one session; keep the order confirmation.
Worked example (new customer, £450 sofa): 8% cashback → £36 back, plus any first-order discount Very applies at checkout. Same £450 on a TV → £4.50.
FAQ — real questions people ask Google
How do you get 20% off Very? Via Very's first-order offers (category-dependent, up to 30% advertised) or the Buy-Now-Pay-Later-linked promotion that credits 10–20% — the latter is a credit product, so only use it if you'd pay it off interest-free. There's no standing 20% code for existing customers.
Is there a voucher code for 10% off Very? Occasionally via targeted emails; the dependable equivalents are the first-order discount and Blue Light Card cash back. Cashback adds up to 8% (new) on £400+ fashion/home orders.
Do NHS get a discount on Very? Through Blue Light Card: £5 back on new orders over £50 and £10 back on new home orders over £100.
Offers from very.co.uk's offers and first-order pages and Blue Light Card; rates from TopCashback Very — as seen 8 September 2026; they rotate; verify before buying. No personal Very receipt. Very Pay is credit — borrow responsibly. Sources: Very offers · Blue Light Card Very · TopCashback Very.
