If you're after an H&M discount code, the good news is it's free and instant: sign up to the H&M newsletter and a 15%-off welcome voucher lands in your inbox. Students get their own discount through Student Beans. The less good news, from someone who's tested it: cashback at H&M is 1%. My two Boxing Day orders paid 10p and 26p. So this page is honest about what moves the needle at H&M — and it isn't cashback.

The "how to get 20% off H&M" question has an honest answer: 20% comes as member-event promotions (H&M runs them a few times a year) or sale pricing, not a public code. The newsletter 15% is the dependable one.

Exclusions: gift cards, and any discount code not approved on the listing. H&M is one of the lowest fashion rates I've seen — bottom of my fashion cashback league alongside Sports Direct — and my receipts say exactly that: £0.10 and £0.26.

Worked example: £60 order → 15% voucher → £51 → 1% cashback 51p → £50.49. The voucher did 97% of the work.
